Invitation To Stephen Ministry Training

Have you considered becoming a Stephen Minister? Maybe you have said:
“I Can’t Be a Stephen Minister!” Is that really a good reason? If God is calling you; will He not help you? Stephen Ministry Training is excellent and will teach you everything you need to know.
“I’m Not Qualified to Be a Stephen Minister.” God isn’t asking you if you are qualified; He is only asking to be available. All you need to be is a caring person, who is willing to learn, grow, and serve. You must be willing to maintain confidentiality and participate in 50 hours of training. The Lord and Stephen Ministry Training teach you the rest.
“I Don’t Know What to Say or Do in a Ministry Situation.” That’s why we rely upon the Lord. He will give us what to say and what to do once we have learned the various skills taught during the Stephen Ministry Training.
“How Can I Help Other People With Their Problems?” Stephen Ministers are not Problem Solvers; they are Problem Bearers. Only God can solve problems and your Care Receiver’s problems. Stephen Ministers Training will teach you techniques that will help you to stand alongside of your Care Receiver as the Lord works in his/her life.
“I Don’t Have Enough Time to Be a Stephen Minister.” Time is a precious commodity and therefore we need to set priorities for our time. In the eyes of God could there be anything more important than to minister to someone in crisis? Place your time in God’s hands; He will provide the time.
Stop by the Stephen Ministry Kiosk in the foyer of the sanctuary and ask one of the Stephen Ministers; they will be glad to answer any of your questions and address your doubts. Stephen Ministry Training starts in January, 2012.
“And the King will answer them, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these My brothers, you did it to Me’” Matthew 25:40
