Who is Willow Hills

Willow Hills Baptist Church is a group of believers who
GATHER to worship and fellowship with one another
GROW by learning and living out together a radical commitment to Christ
GIVE sacrificially of our resources and ourselves in service to help those in need and to spread God's love
GO to our neighborhoods, community, nation, and world to share the good news of God's love
Willow Hills exists for six purposes: exalting God (worship); evangelizing the world (evangelism); equipping believers (discipleship); edifying others (ministry); encountering God (prayer) and encouraging one another (fellowship).
Partnerships
Willow Hills works in partnership with churches all around the world to spread the good news of God's love.
Yavapai County
Willow Hills is a supporting member of the Yavapai Baptist Association, in partnership with 20 Southern Baptist churches from all around Yavapai County. The Association members work together to plant new churches, provide training for volunteers and staff members, and encourage each other.
Arizona
Willow Hills also is a supporting member of the Arizona Southern Baptist Convention, which represents some 400 Arizona churches.
United States
Willow Hills supports the work of the Southern Baptist Convention through gifts to the Cooperative Program, which enables Willow Hills to be part of the work of the thousands of missionaries of the International Mission Board and North American Mission Board.
Our History
History of Willow Hills Baptist Church
Under sponsorship of the First Baptist church of Phoenix, a Southern Baptist mission was started in a store front building inPrescott, on January 14, 1946. The church moved to the corner of E. Gurley and Virginia Streets it met for about 50 years. That facility was expanded several times until the need for a larger building led to the decision to sell. The congregation met a the Prescott Middle School while the new buildings were constructed at the site above the intersection of Willow Lake and Willow Creek Roads.

The first service in the new facility was held January 11, 1998. The First Southern Baptist Church became known as Willow Hills Baptist Church due to its moving to the Willow Hills subdivision area. Willow Hills has been connected to the Southern Baptist Convention since its inception.

The Church voted to build a Family Life Center, construction to be started in 2003. The new building was completed in March, 2005. Adult Bible Study and Youth Sunday School as well as sports activities are now being held in the new Family Life Center.
